The Spirit of Mortimer, is compromised of but 50 barrels, hand selected from amongst our oldest and finest. Nearly 14 years old, it has undergone an extensive and unique multi-barrel aging process. Bottled at full barrel-strength, the Boss Hog represents our purest, most powerful, and most primordial expression of the worlds finest rye.

Dedicated to Mortimer WhistlePig, our deceased Kune Kune pig mascot and namesake. Mortimers physical monument will be the Spirit of Mortimer, a flying pig chiseled by hand by Danforth Pewter Works right down the road from us in Vermont. Mortimers spiritual monument will be the unrivaled whiskey within the bottle.Heres to you, Mortimer!

NOSE

Bright and lively with rye spice on the nose accompanied by rich toffee, raisin, baking spice, and black peppercorn with hints of anise and tobacco spice.

PALATE

Full-bodied with with warming rye hits immediately followed by a sweet and spicy notes of vanilla and oak underneath.

FINISH

Hints of brown sugar dance in the background with touches of dried stone fruit, butterscotch, maple, and caramel popcorn.
