TK Notes: From the slate soils of Riebeeksrivier, this dry-farmed Cinsaut is partially whole-bunch fermented (30%) and aged for 12 months in 28-year-old foudres, which offer oxygen exchange without wood flavor. The 2024 vintage shows vibrant red fruit, strawberry, and spicy herbal notes with a plush entry and softer tannins than usual. Its an expressive and balanced version of one of South Africas most historic grape varieties, delivering immediacy without sacrificing depth.

Producer Notes: The 2024 Pofadder is incredibly fruit-forward from the get-go and displays bright red fruit aromas with some oriental spicy herbal aromas. The fruit carries over into ripe strawberry aspects that follow through onto the palate. The tannins are softer than usual and exceptionally well balanced early in the wines life. The wine is swift and a standout in recent vintages.
