The 2020 Uvaggio is a fabulous introduction to this range. Pliant, layered and wonderfully silky, the 2020 is all charm. Soft contours wrap around red/purplish fruit, dried herbs, rose petal, blood orange, mint and white pepper. This is an especially generous style, but it all works so well. Bright mineral notes extend the effortless, vibrant finish. Dollops of Vespolina and Croatina play off Nebbiolo so well. Drinking Window: 2025-2035

This is an impressive set of wines from Luca and Paolo De Marchi. These are relatively rich wines, with some oak influence, and yet their balance is impeccable. All three wines are terrific. The Uvaggio, a blend of 80% Nebbiolo, 15% Vespolina and 5% Croatina, is the most classic of the three.
