The 2022 Chianti Classico is a powerful, rich wine that offers a striking reflection of the intensity of the year, slightly tempered by the elevation of Radda. Crushed flowers, red berry fruit, cinnamon and orange peel are all nicely lifted. There’s gorgeous brilliance and energy here. The 2022 spent 16 months in cask.

This is 95% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks, followed by about 25 days of maceration. Bottled without being fined or filtered. The final wine is aromatic, spicy, and bright, noted with flavors of cherry, sandalwood, and tobacco leaf. The vines are planted in soils that are full of calcareous stones, rich in marl and schist.
