A long established sugar estate and distillery, the Long Pond Distillery in the Trelawny district of Jamaica was split off in 2009. The current owners make a ‘Wedderburn’ style named after a deep heavily pungeant style of rum modeled on that first shipped Wedderburn Webster of London back in the late 1700’s. Jamaica 2000 rum has an herbal taste, with a touch of green anise followed by sweet spicy toffee, ripe pineapple and tropical buttery notes.
