Tasting Note: A cuve that includes fruit purchased from the commune of Pommard, Galeyrand’s 2022 Bourgogne Pinot Noir Antonin offers up aromas of plums, petals and spices, followed by a medium-bodied, ample and fleshy palate that’s lively and mouthwatering.
Size: 0.80 ha (1.98 ac)
Variety: Pinot Noir
Terroir: From four parcels in Chambolle-Musigny, Brochon and Gilly-les-Citeaux, all located at the bottom of the slopes, clay-limestone soils.
Viticulture: Organic (Ecocert, 2019) and biodynamic methods, guyot pruning.
Vinification: No added SO2 during vinification. 100% de-stemmed, 4-8 day pre-fermentation cold maceration, ambient yeast fermentation with punchdowns and pump-overs depending on the vintage. Aged for 12-16 months in barrels (20% new). No fining, light filtration if necessary. 30-45 ppm total SO2 at bottling.
