The dry Riesling 2021 Mlange is from the fruit of the historic, up to date original (not consolidated) Eltviller Mnchhanach, which was integrated into the Langenstck in the 1979s. The cru was cultivated for centuries by Schloss Elz, until 50 years ago one of the most prestigious producers in the Rheingau. Eva has cultivated the cru since 2019, after she took the lease over from Langwerth von Simmern and switched the cultivation of this heartbreak cru to organic farming immediately. Eva’s 2021 offers a deep, pure, intense and stony nose of ripe, lush and concentrated fruits intertwined with quartzite aromas. Full-bodied, dense and concentrated on the palate, this isafter being aerateda finessed, saline and playful but persistent Riesling with lots of salt but also lush, ripe stone fruit aromas. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in November 2022.
