From the former owner of VIETTI in Barolo comes the most exciting Vermouth project in recent years!
Ingredients: The challenge embraced by the Currado Vietti family has been to utilize the Timorasso Derthona 2021 wine, to which a selection of botanicals and natural herbs from Piedmont is blended, according to an ancient family recipe. These ingredients are used in a one-shot infusion process.
Aging: steel tanks.
Alcohol Content: 18% vol.
Bottle size: 750 ML
Color: Straw yellow.
Bouquet: Winey, elegant, and refined with notes of sweet orange, thyme, mint, gentian, and hints of vanilla. The spicy part, very delicate, presents scents of cinnamon. The perception of wormwood is well defined at the end.
Palate: Winey, fruity, decidedly harmonious. Long-lasting and spicy with a pleasantly sweet finish. The significant winey character, despite the use of traditional spices, gains volume at the close of the tasting.
Serving Temperature: 8-10 C
Pairings: On the rocks with a single ice cube, without the addition of citrus zest, as an aperitif or aer a meal.
Production Method: Fresh and dried botanicals are finely chopped. This is followed by a cold extraction for three weeks, which helps to enhance the natural aromatic substances. The Timorasso-Derthona is subsequently added to the extract. The process is then completed with the addition of alcohol and sugar. Before the final aging of 50 days, the Vermouth is stabilized with refrigeration and filtered.
