Elderton Wines is a family-owned Barossa Valley estate with deep roots in South Australias winemaking history. The 2021 Elderton Shiraz is a classic Barossa expressiongenerous, full-bodied, and richly fruited. Aromas of blackberry, plum, and blueberry compote unfold with hints of licorice, dark chocolate, and toasted spice. On the palate, layers of ripe black fruit mingle with notes of vanilla, cedar, and warm spice from oak maturation. The texture is plush and velvety, supported by fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is long and powerful, echoing dark fruit and savory spice. While approachable now, it has the structure to age gracefully for a decade or more.
