The Marsannay ‘Les Longeroies’ vineyard is the largest of the Marsannay appellation lieu-dits. Located on the northern side of town moving south towards the village and halfway up the hill, and south of Clos du Roy. As you move uphill, the berries get smaller and more millerand, versus the larger berries and denser bunches on the deeper soils below.
Soils: Clay and limestone (classic Burgundy soils)
Winemaking: The hand-harvested grapes were macerated for 15 days, then transferred to 20% new oak barrels to age for 12 to 18 months and six months in tanks. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration.
