Charmes Premier Cru wines, made entirely from Chardonnay, are vibrant and honeyed with rich, nutty characters and floral overtones.

The nose is fruity, racy and reveals a nice graininess and a fine minerality. There are notes of Mirabelle plum, and kumquat, with delicate touches of fresh yellow fruit and white flowers, as well as discreet hints of nutmeg/spice and a subtle touch of chestnut.

On the palate, this wine expresses notes of quince, tangerine and, to a lesser extent, medlar, combined with hints of acacia, honeysuckle, yellow berries, fresh oak and a discreet hint of fresh almond. A subtle almost tannic quality on the finish/persistence and a lot of finesse. Good length.
