Terroir
Camparos Langhe Nebbiolo is sourced from organically farmed vineyards in the Langhe hills, just outside the Barolo and Barbaresco DOCG zones. Vines grow at altitudes of 350450 meters, where warm days and cool nights during the growing season promote slow ripening and aromatic finesse. The soils are predominantly calcareous marl mixed with clay and sand, providing both structure and elegance to Nebbiolo. Certified organic since 2000, Camparo focuses on low-intervention farming, cover cropping, and minimal chemical use to preserve soil vitality and express the purity of the grape.

Vinification
Grapes are hand-harvested in early October, sorted in the vineyard, and destemmed before fermentation. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with gentle punch-downs and pump-overs to extract color and tannins without excessive bitterness. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for around 12 monthsprimarily in large Slavonian oak casks, with a portion in stainless steelto integrate tannins while maintaining freshness and fruit purity.

Tasting Notes
The 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo shows a brilliant garnet-red color. The bouquet is lifted and precise, offering aromas of wild strawberry, sour cherry, and rose petals, with hints of anise, white pepper, and crushed stone. On the palate, it is medium-bodied yet structured, with fresh acidity and silky tannins carrying flavors of red berries, pomegranate, and subtle earthy spice. The finish is long, savory, and delicately mineral, showcasing Nebbiolos classic elegance in a youthful, approachable style.

Serving & Pairing
Serve at 1618 C, ideally after 30 minutes of aeration. This wine pairs beautifully with mushroom tagliatelle, roasted poultry, vitello tonnato, or semi-aged cheeses like toma or fontina. While delicious now, it will develop additional nuance over the next 57 years.
