Well, that idea is coming over to the whisky world – this right here is Bunnahabhain’s Toiteach a Dh, which means “Smoky Two” in Gaelic. It’s the sequel to their popular peaty treatBunnahabhain Toiteach, featuring a much more up-front core of sherried spice shining out between the smoky plumes.

Nose:Roasted peanuts, cinnamon and red chilli flakes, blackcurrant and Port.

Palate:Sea salt and kippers, dark chocolate, sultanas, a touch of cantaloupe.

Finish:Barley, dry smoke and pepper.

The Bunnahabhain Toiteach A Dh has a touch of smoke in our peated malted barley whisky, introduced during its creation and combined with a higher sherry influence, this special bottling offers the connoisseur an opportunity to try something truly unique and beguiling in nature.

Meaning ‘Smoky Two’ in Scots Gaelic, Toiteach A Dh (pronounced Toch-ach ah-ghaa) is a sequel to the original peaty paradox on Bunnahabhains gentle single malt. To create this Mine variant, our blending team selected a combination of ex Bourbon and Sherry casks which were then matured in full, in our coastal warehouses on Bunnahabhain Bay.

With touches of smoke from our peated malted barley, this whiskys prickling strength emanates from the dram, while warming with a lingering, robust length and delicately sweet sherry influence.
