Malagouzia Turtles from the Alpha Estate is a very expressive white wine and captures the typicality of the variety through a very aromatic cool and slightly “green” character, which gives a very special freshness and elegance.

Alpha Estate has been in Amyntaio since 1997 and is a family winery bequeathed from father to son. Angelos Iatridis has impressed us with the experimental vinifications he makes with great success in Xinomavro. Still, with this wine, he has come to show us that capturing the refinement of Malagouzia also requires this mastery.

In the glass, it is clear lemon with greenish highlights. It has strong aromas of lemon blossom, evening primrose, bergamot, green pepper, and freshly cut grass.

In the mouth, it has a medium (+) body and has a nice balance of smooth oily feel and refreshing acidity. Elegant notes of green tea frame aromas of lemon flesh, bergamot, mandarin, and jasmine. The aftertaste is lemony and long.

Pairs with: white meats, fish, pies with greens and herbs and cheese pies, green salads, white cheeses. Also drunk as an aperitif.
