Pure Chardonnay, used French oak and cement tank aginggive this a very clear, cleanand pure expression. The sunshine from Provence gives it an extra bump, but not too much, this is a pleasure-giving wine that allows you to think about or just sit back and appreciate its charms. Medium straw andlemon yellow color. The nose is med+, pure, generous, with ripe and juicy white orchard and stone fruits, the perception of creaminess in the nose, with crushed white florals. The palate is medium bodied, with integrated acidity it reveals the creamy and rounded edges. Pronounced on the palate,pure, itfans out into a long finish.Another steal for the $!

This wine comes from a number of vineyards in Luberon, the high country of Provence nestled between Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the Vaucluse plain. For the most part, the wines fermented and aged in old oak barrels on fine lees for eight months. The result is a creamy-textured provenal white with subtle stone fruit and herby notes that speak of the South. Theres some rich, rolling fruit for those who like their Chardonnay with something to hang on to, but also plenty of the classic Guffens purity, drive and rocky freshnessvalue plus.

Fermentation:Produced only with first press in 80% used barrels, the remainder in tank, NO new oak so this is the pure essence of the grape.
