The deep, dark purple-red color is not quite opaque. Aromas are of intense, rich black-plum, overlaid by graphite. The palate is velvety & full-bodied with fine, drying tannins that are clean & cedary. Good fresh acidity lifts attractive red-fruit notes out of the wine’s concentrated core of black-fruit & licorice. Currently, drying tannins close-up the finish. Alcohol adds a touch of warmth at the end.
