The deep, dark, purple-red color is virtually opaque. Aromas are of ripe black-fruits, showing damson & juicy black-cherry. Classic notes of cassis & chocolate combine on an opulent & open palate. Fresh acidity lends freshness to the fruit. Cedary tannins are fine & gripping, but not astringent. The alcohol is balanced & the long finish, shows fresh blackcurrant & notes of cedar

The 2021 Loville Poyferr opens in the glass with notes of minty berries, dark berry compote, pencil shavings and toasty oak, followed by a medium to full-bodied, deep and dense palate thats quite muscular and extracted, built around a chassis of sweet, abundant tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully firm finish. This will require a bit of patience.
