A recent release from long-time TWE favourite Aberlour, this 16 year-old has been double-matured in traditional oak and sherry casks. Deep and complex, with lip-smacking spices – not as sherry-sweet as the 18yo.It’s bottled at a slightly lower abv of 40% than previous editions, this 16 year old Aberlour is bursting with lush plum, raisin and even floral notes. A cracking Speyside malt.
Colour: A warm, golden amber.
Nose: Creamy with sweet raisin aromas and a spicy nuttiness.
Palate: A smooth blend of floral and spicy flavours, paired with a sweet plum fruitiness and gentle oakiness.
Finish: Gloriously long, with a warm, honeyed spiciness.
