A rich, enveloping merlot with great intensity and a pleasant vein of freshness. Full-bodied, ripe but not too ripe with good quality new oak treatment that is on the path to integration. Notes of anise, pencil shavings, new leather and delicate exotic spice complement the generous fruit flavours of black cherry and blackberry. Tannins are moderate and firm but not aggressive.
