TK Notes: The inaugural 2024 Sonvang is a co-planted red field blend from a warm, west- facing site in the Paardeberg. Composed of a diverse mix including Alicante Bouchet, Agiorgitiko, Tinta Amarella, Pontac, Carignan, Cinsaut, and Grenache Noir, the vineyard is harvested in two stages and fermented with 30% whole cluster. Aging occurs in both concrete and old foudre for 14 months. This first release shows Mediterranean herbal aromas, bright red fruit, and a gentle reduction. The tannins are firm but polished, tied together by vivid acidity and a long, structured finish

Producer Notes: This maiden 2024 Sonvang vintage displays Mediterranean rosemary and herbal aromas, tangled with bright red fruit. The wine is youthful and embryonic and hosts a slight perfect reduction that will carry it into the future. The powdery and firm tannins have class and elegance and are knotted and stitched together with the acidity to produce enormous length to the wine. This wine needs time, and we are delighted with this maiden release.
