Mostly Sauvignon Blanc, with a dash of Smillon. Vinified using a cold pre-fermentation decantation to settle the musts, then fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Aged in tank for 9 months and then bottled.
About Chteau Palais Cardinal “The Chteau Palais Cardinal is above all a story of family and passion. Founded in 1850, it is a family estate located in the town of Saint-Sulpice de Faleyrens, which extends south of Saint-Emilion in the Bordeaux region. All of its terroirs give it a unique identity. Our land benefits from rich soils and the sunny climate of the region. For fifteen years already, the vineyard has not used weedkillers or carcinogenic, mutagenic and reprotoxic products. In addition to the sustainable viticulture that is practiced there, the vineyard has been certified Terra Vitis and High Environmental Value level 3 since 2018. Now worked by Nicolas Ballande and his team, our estate covers 26 hectares of Saint-Emilion Grand Cru and 4 hectares of Bordeaux on which we produce three wines: Chteau Palais Cardinal, the Palatin de Ch Palais Cardinal, Les cuves Amphore and Chteau Haut-Boutisse, Bordeaux.”
