2023 in the vineyard, we started out with warm weather beginning almost exactly in June. The summer, without any long heat spikes, was still one of the warmest average summers in years with very little rain. When harvest came around, we did get a few days of rain, but luckily we had enough stored sun to be able to pick a little before and a little after and still receive beautiful grapes. We hand craft all of our pinot noirs, fermenting them in small lots, utilizing native yeasts from the vineyard. This pinot is a blend of our entire estate vineyard and barrel selected by our winemakers. It is aged in 10% new french oak with the rest aged in all neutral french oak. 25% whole cluster and dry farmed.
Notes of raspberry, wild strawberry, cedar, French butter biscuit, cinnamon, juniper, and dry autumn leaves. The mouthfeel is silky with delicate color with well-structured tannins.100% estate fruit.
