As George Hendry says, the HRW Zinfandel is not quite good enough for their top zinfandel, but it is too good for them to sell it off to another winery. Only made in their “best” vintages and in a more quaffable style, this is delicious and rich. Its tangy and firm, and packed with Napa Zin goodness. Somewhat more “Italian” in style than typical monster California Zinfandels.
