In continuous operation since 1749, Appleton Estate is the refined, experienced older woman of the Jamaican Rum scene. Their newest expression, an update of the previously non-age statement Reserve Blend, is a blend of pot and column still rums, with a focus on select heavy pot still rums, all aged a minimum of 8 years. It is bottled at 43% abv, without any added sugar, flavorings, or adulterants.

Their funkiest, most classically Jamaican blend, the nose has classic Appleton orange peel notes along with pronounced banana and spicy nutmeg. The palate deftly balances juicy tropical fruit with a sharp, drying oak spice, along with honey, citrus, and vanilla. Easily at home neat in a snifter, or in a lush old fashioned, this is a fantastic introduction to Appletons lineup of beautiful age-stated rums.
